Goshen may be a small town, but there is a surprising amount of delicious restaurants here,  representing a wide variety of different types of cuisines. While the culinary scene may not hold a candle to New York City (no other city really does), you don’t need to travel to the city to enjoy a good meal. There’s plenty of great Mexican, Italian, Spanish, New American, and other types of restaurants right here in town. Some favorites among our staff of Goshen workers compensation lawyers include:

Catherine’s Restaurant

Catherine’s is probably our favorite restaurant in Goshen and one of the best restaurants in all of Orange County. Their menu features a large selection of different New American dishes, with a heavy focus on Italian and seafood dishes. They also have unique ambiance here, with your choice to dine on either the first or second floor. The first-floor dining room features rustic decor with classy touches. Upstairs, you’ll find a more formal dining experience, with white tablecloths.

Some of our favorite dishes at Catherine’s include:

  • Buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese
  • Seafood risotto
  • Kobe burger
  • Crispy fish tacos
  • Coconut shrimp

El Rancho

Goshen has a few good Mexican restaurants, but in our opinion, El Rancho stands out as the best. It’s got a cozy, homey atmosphere with friendly service. But the authentic Mexican food is obviously the main draw here, and it does not disappoint. They don’t limit themselves to simply burritos and tacos here – you can find a large selection of different traditional Mexican dishes along with your standard favorites.

We haven’t tried anything less than stellar at El Rancho, but some favorites we keep returning to include:

  • Chiles Rellenos – Mexican green peppers stuffed with your choice of chicken, beef, or cheese
  • Enchiladas Mole Poblano – Corn tortillas stuffed with chicken and smothered in mole sauce with sesame seeds, onions, and fresh radishes
  • Bistec Yucatan – Steak sauteed with sliced onions and poblano peppers, seasoned with herbs, and served with rice and beans.

El Meson De Barajas

El Meson de Barajas is a traditional Spanish restaurant with unbelievably delicious food, fast and friendly service and a calm, soothing ambiance. If you’ve never tried Spanish food before, this is the perfect place to introduce yourself to it. And Spanish cuisine aficionados are sure to walk away from their meals impressed with the flavor-packed dishes here.

We’re big fans of the following dishes here:

  • Clams casino
  • Mussels in tomato sauce
  • Serrano ham and Manchego cheese
  • Paella Valenciana
  • Shrimp Francaise

Roccoroma

Roccoroma is a traditional Italian restaurant and deli which serves up all of your classic Italian favorites, along with some new twists on old favorites. You can find all of the standard Italian deli sandwiches here, along with a variety of wraps, salads, pizzas, and everything else you expect to find at your neighborhood Italian eatery.

If you’re having trouble deciding what to order, you can’t go wrong with the following:

  • Italiano sandwich
  • Chicken Parmigiano hero
  • Sausage and broccoli rabe panini
  • Prosciutto and mortadella pizza
  • Chef Salad

3 Mamas and Mike is one of our favorite places to go for a family dinner, and they also do catering for special events. We love celebrating special occasions with their delicious New American cuisine.

We recommend trying the following items from 3 Mamas and Mike, but everything they serve is delicious:
