History

Founded in 1982 by Ralph and Leuba Baum, The Judaica Museum showcases historical pieces of Jewish art straight from the Hebrew Home.

Ralph Baum, a refugee from Nazi persecution, had a deep desire to preserve and pass on the legacy embodied in the artifacts he and his wife gathered to future generations, most of which were used mainly before the Holocaust.

The Museum officially opened to the public in June of 2009, and was well-liked and appreciated by guests from all over. Today, the museum’s newly expanded 5,000 square foot space, was created by architect Louise Braverman and is located in the Jacob Reingold Pavilion at The Hebrew Home at Riverdale.
