Rukey Riesa graduated from the Pace Law School in 2013, admitted to the New York State Bar in May of 2014, and she has been helping injured and disabled people ever since. Rukey was born in Nigeria but in 2000 she moved, with her, family to the United States. Rukey is one of six children.
She originally wanted to go to medical school and started off as a Biology major, but it only took one Chemistry exam to help her realize that science was not for her. After taking a law class she wanted to be a lawyer. Rukey served for one year in the AmeriCorps program.
Rukey loves musical theater and periodically puts on theater productions with her sister (writing scripts, songs and directing). One of her goals in life is to learn how to play a musical instrument.
