Brooklyn Heights is one of the borough’s most trendy and upscale neighborhoods. There is a great mix of classic bars along with new trendy ones to choose from if you’re looking for a night out on the town here. Our Brooklyn workers’ compensation lawyers are big fans of the following places to get a drink in Brooklyn Heights:

The Binc

The Binc is a hip, trendy bar in Brooklyn Heights which offers a great mix of excellent cocktails and premium bar food. The ambiance is very relaxed and inviting here, with low lighting and your choice of booths or bar seating. Good music is always being played, but at a low enough volume that it doesn’t impair your ability to engage in a good conversation. We think the Binc is one of the best choices for a date night in Brooklyn Heights.

Some of our favorite foods and cocktails here include:

  • Sriracha wings
  • Charred Brussels sprouts
  • Pastrami tacos
  • Viva Los Muertos cocktail(mezcal, apricot liqueur, allspice dram, Patron XO Cafe, mole bitters)
  • Highland Island cocktail (Straight Apple Brandy, Rye, Green Chartreuse, coconut cream, lemon, egg white)

Montero’s Bar & Grill

Montero’s is an old-school dive bar located where Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill meet. This simple, unpretentious place is a great choice if you’re just looking to throw back a few beers, relax, and keep your wallet relatively full. This place has been here for decades, and has some charming features, including an empty phone booth and nautical memorabilia. It’s cash only here, like any good dive bar should be. This is also a popular karaoke spot, where you can belt out some of your favorite classics after indulging in a few beers and shots.

Jack the Horse Tavern

Jack the House Tavern is a great place to grab a cocktail and some delectable food for either brunch or dinner. The drinks here are excellent, but the food really steals the show. It’s not open late, so this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking to party into the early hours of the morning. But if you’re simply looking to enjoy a great meal and some unique cocktails with friends or a date, Jack is one of our favorite options in Brooklyn Heights.

Some of our favorite cocktails here include:

  • Pierrepont (gin, Berentzen apple liqueur, aquavit, strawberry, lemon, orgeat)
  • Singapore Sling (gin, pineapple, cherry, lime, Benedictine, bitters)
  • King’s Cup (Scotch, rosemary, King’s ginger liqueur, Lillet, egg white)

And if you’re hungry, we recommend the following food choices:

  • Grilled octopus
  • Smoked trout salad
  • Big bowl of Maine mussels
  • Grilled Berkshire Pork Rib Chop
  • Angus hanger steak

Floyd, NY

Floyd, NY is a simple bar with an inviting atmosphere and affordable drinks. Don’t confuse affordable with cheap either – as the beers on tap offer a good mix of standard favorites along with delicious craft brews. Unique features include bocce ball, a  variety of interesting antiques, and a fireplace.

Elsa

Elsa is the type of bar with a beautiful ambiance that makes it great for a romantic evening, but not to the point of pretentiousness. You can feel comfortable here whether you’re dressed up or in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. They offer an extensive menu of craft beers, housemade cocktails, and red and white wines – so everyone in your group is sure to be pleased.

Some of our favorite cocktails here include:

  • The Golden Fang – Tequila, cucumber, tea, Sichuan peppercorn, wildflower honey, pink Himalayan salt, grapefruit
  • My Story in a Late Style of Fire – Mezcal, orange blossom honey, pineapple, lemon, Dimmi liqueur, ginger, sesame, and hemp oil
