American Airlines reported that a worker at its Tulsa maintenance base was recently injured. The worker apparently fell while on the job and sustained serious injuries. No reports of how the worker fell or what injuries occurred were available.
An investigation into the incident was launched and the airline was working to established exactly what caused the accident.
The airline released a statement which assured the public that the airlines was dedicated to the safety of staff and customers. The company stated their thoughts were with the injured employee and his family.
