Medical Conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, optic neuropathy, shoulder and hand neuropathy, concentration issues and fatigue, serious recurring migraines

What Happened?
Out client was diagnosed with MS in her late twenties. Although she took care of herself and focused on a healthy lifestyle, she began to have worsening conditions as she got older. She worked for many years at a local Fire Department, and they were incredibly flexible and helpful. However, by the time she turned 51 she could not keep going. She began missing multiple days a month from work; had trouble concentrating and remembering; had unbearable pain especially in her hands and arms and began to have vision issues. She had to stop working.

The Results 💪
That is when The Disability Guys, we got to work! Because of her age, Social Security denied her initial application and her reconsideration application. Add in delays from the pandemic and her day in court but when we did, we were able to have the Administrative Law Judge approve her claim. She received almost three years of past-due benefits, ongoing monthly benefits and became Medicare eligible. As she continues to focus on improving her health, she has financial and medical security.
