While their nightlife obviously doesn’t compare to the world-class scene you can find in New York City, there are definitely some good options for a night out of drinking with friends in East Meadow. When our Long Island workers compensation lawyers don’t feel like traveling to the city for a night out, we enjoy the following bars in East Meadow:

Public House 106

Public House 106 is a sports bar and lounge which hosts a variety of events and themed nights. It’s also always a great spot to go to when you’re looking to watch the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Rangers, or Islanders in a festive atmosphere with dozens of other fans. But if you’re looking for somewhere to party until 4 am on a Friday night, it’s great for that too.

There are daily specials every night of the week, so bargain hunters can easily catch a cheap buzz here. These specials include:

  • Martini Mondays – Specials include Blue Moon cosmo martinis, bikini martinis, Amaretto peach martinis, and flirtini martinis
  • Tropical Tuesdays – Mojitos, Painkillers, Bay Breezes, Jamaican Me Crazy’s
  • Winedown Wednesdays – $2 off house wine
  • Thursday Singles Night – $4 margaritas and $5 sangrias
  • Fire Fridays – Happy Hour from 2:30 pm to 7 pm, including $3 Fireball shots, Cuervo shots, Jack Fire shots, domestic beers, and $4 imported beers
  • Sangria Sundays – $5 glasses of sangria

The Nest Bar & Lounge

The Nest is a lounge and cocktail bar, which is also a great destination for both a night out or a Sunday watching sports. They have several big-screen TVs which broadcast a variety of sports from throughout the region, along with nationally televised games. They also have creative theme nights, including open mics and live painting.

If you’ve got a case of the drunk munchies, there’s also great bar snacks here. Some of our favorites include:

  • Spinach and artichoke dip
  • Macaroni & cheese balls with bacon
  • Nachos with melted cheese and sliced jalapenos
  • White Castle cheeseburgers
  • Pizza “Bar Pie”

Coasters Tavern

Coasters is a neighborhood bar with a friendly atmosphere, featuring excellent, creative cocktails and delectable bar fare. Come here to watch sports, sing karaoke, or simply mingle with your neighbors. They have a rotating selection of 12 beers on tap, including everything from standard favorites like Bud Light to Guinness, Sam Adams, and Angry Orchard ciders.

Some of our favorite foods at Coasters Tavern include:

  • Buffalo wings
  • Fried ravioli
  • Mozzarella sticks
  • Jalapeno poppers
  • Mini tacos

The Greene Turtle

The Greene Turtle is another sports bar, but with a much more extensive food menu than some of the other options in the area. It’s a local favorite for watching New York and New Jersey teams in an exciting atmosphere with fellow fans. This is a chain restaurant with 48 locations, so you always know what you’re getting here and that the quality will be consistent.

We’re particularly big fans of the following food items at the Green Turtle:

  • Buffalo chicken tenders
  • Crab dip
  • Fried pickle spears
  • Bavarian pretzel sticks
  • Black & Bleu burger
  • Smoky pork BBQ sandwich

Kiely’s Bar and Grille

Kiely’s Bar and Grille has one of the most fun and exciting atmospheres in the East Meadow nightlife scene. The outdoor patio is the highlight of this place, with horseshoes, baggo, and kanjam for fun games. The patio also has big-screen TVs and is an excellent place to watch football on Sundays. And like any good sports bar, they offer quality bar food.
