How long does a worker have to give NOTICE of their injury to their employer?

NOTICE–the second crucial element of ANCR and what you need to file your workers' compensation claim.  You MUST notify your employer about your accident. How long do you have until your claim is invalidated? In what form must this notification occur? What about with injuries or conditions that develop later after the injury?

Brian Mittman, New York Disability Attorney, clarifies the notice part of ANCR, and the second step to your workers' compensation claim.

IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYER, this video will explain the procedure of notification and your role in it.

NEXT UP is the relationship between the accident and the injury, or casual relationship. Sound confusing? Mr. Mittman discusses this in the next video!
